We all heard unconfirmed roumors that a new 16GB iPhone will be released in November this year, some say only in Europe, some say iPhone needs a new flagship, since the 4G model was replaced by the 8GB one.
Well, I'm sure that Apple will NOT release a 3G 16GB iPhone this year. I'm so sure of it that i'll eat my current iPhone if they do. And i bet allot of current iPhone owners, and especially those that payed $600 for it, will follow my example. But i'm sure it won't happen and here are my reasons why: < See Details >
Today was a big day for Apple and also for all Apple fans. A new generation of iPods was released with tree new exciting models. Improved iPod Nano and iPod classic with bigger display, high capacity memory and let's not forget new breathtaking design. But that's not all, a whole new model of iPod was revealed to the public, iPod Touch, with a touchscreen and a design very similar to our dear iPhone.
But what do we care, i hear you say, we want iPhones not iPod's. Well this day was a big day for iPhone fans too. The prices dropped, and i repeat dropped.
The flag ship 8GB iPhone, who could eased your pocket for $600 until yesterday it is now available for only $399. Not so happy news for the 4GB motel tho,
even if it's price dropped to a reasonable $299, the party won't last long for this model since it's production stoped and will only be available till the
remaining stock is exhausted. Who knows, maybe a big brother with higher memory (16GB iPhone perharps) and 3G will take it's place. Soon, we hope! < See Details >
If you still needed a reason to keep your hands from your iPhone's backcover and wait for the software only unlock this picture will definitely make up your mind:
This picture was posted on Hackintosh forums by an user that atemmpted to unlock his iPhone using Geohot's step by step method. According to him, he just finished the software part of the unlocking procedure and started the hardware part by opening the backcover of the phone. At this moment the iPhone went in smoke, probably caused by a shortcircuit of the power system or an accidental puncture in the battery. When releasing the black, nasty smell smoke, the phone also became extremely hot. Since the iPhone was not designed to be user-serviced there is an increased chance for this kind of accidents to become more frequent so please be very carefull when performing this kind of interventions or even better don't mess around with the hardware part of the iPhone. < See Details >

A nice touch of this video is the long time the iPhone stays turned on. This says something about the device: it's quite sturdy! Otherwise, i don't understand why someone will pay $600 for a device plus a 2 year contract, just to throw it in the blender and post the video on YouTube! < See Details >
