iPhone takes 6'th place on US market Posted on: 4-18-2008

According to a report from The NPD Group the US phone sales increased in 2007 to a total number of 146 million units. With 3.7 million iPhones delivered in that period Apple is positioned on sixth place, with a 2.5% share of the market.
Out of all phones 12% where smartphones, almost double than the previous year. And the iPhone is one of the best selling smartphones, with 19.1% of the market, despite it's been released mid year. < See Details >

16GB iPhone is finally here, Apple just updated their official iPhone page to include the picture you see above. For an extra $100 you can get the new version of iPhone with 16GB memory. This is not the second generation iPhone tho, since no other changes except the memory increase were announced. < See Details >

Currently the countries the iPhone is available (officialy) are US, UK, France and Germany. Advantages of having the iPhone officialy in your country are obvious: smaller price, 2 years warranty, firmware updates, better data plans and such, so it's easy to understand that most iPhone fans around the world wish that Apple choses their contry to be the next one where iPhone will be available.
As you see we've chosen the "iPhone in Canada" picture to ilustrate this article and that's for the main reason that Canada was the most expected (and speculated) country to enter the iPhone world. Well, it's inevitable. No matter how hard we tried, we are in fact big Apple fans and we can't just ignore the rumored new ultraportable notebook, that's suposed to be launched today at Macworld 2008. Since the "There's something in the air" banner pictures showed up, everyone in the "Apple rumors" industry named the new device in many ways, most popular including the magic word "air": MacBook Air, AirBook, MacBook Feather, MacBook Go, MacFeather, MacbookPro Mini, MacPod, PodBook, PodMac.

Let’s be honest, have you recently played an Audio CD? In case you’ve got an iPhone, i’m sure your answer is NO. Like most people do, you probably forgot about your expensive CD collection where you certainly can find many albums that have a special meaning to you.
All of us got plenty of CD's somewhere in the closet, covered with dust. But what can you do today with those cd's, when everywhere you go, people are talking about mp3's and not about audio tracks anymore?! Taking Self Portraits Posted on: 1-1-2008

Well, most of you will simply laugh at this post, but it is actually a reply to all those people complaining that is hard to take self portraits using the iPhone, mainly for two reasons:
- the iPhone does not have a mirror on the back so you can't see yourself while taking the photo;
- the shutter button is "on screen", not a hardware button, so it's hard to locate and press it. < See Details >

If you switched from a palm or other smartphone to a new iPhone, I bet you miss your stylus. As we all know iPhone was designed to be operated directly by fingers and it's display does not recognize other contact but skin.
